However, the engine oil and filter must be changed at least once a year and at this time the system must be reset. ENGINE OIL & FILTER – INSPECT – [Check the engine oil level and oil life percentage. Replace the oil and filter, if needed.] SPARK PLUG WIRES – INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FILTER – REPLACE – [Replace the filter if serviceable, if vehicle is driven under normal conditions.] AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID – REPLACE – [Replace the fluid if vehicle is driven under normal conditions.] SPARK PLUGS – REPLACE OIL LIFE MONITOR – RESET – [Reset the system at every oil and filter change. Press and hold the DIC INFO and reset buttons, on the left side of the steering wheel, at the same time to enter the personalization menu. The OIL LIFE RESET message displays. Press and hold the reset button until the DIC display shows ACKNOWLEDGED. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF. The system is reset when the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message is off. If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message comes back on when the vehicle is started, the engine oil life system has not reset.
